The Jack LaLanne power juicer is one of the many juicers on the market, however, it has very unique features. It is one of the cheapest centrifugal juice extractors that is commonly referred to as ‘’deluxe’’. This is because the machine features a shiny chrome finish. It also comes with an anti-drip spout. Many retailers clam the juice extractor is made of stainless steel. However, apart from the metallic filter basket and blade, the rest of the unit is made of plastic.
This juice extractor has very high performance and is able to extract about 30 percent more juice than other brands and models.
The motor power
Like many other models of the same brand, the Jack LaLanne juice extractor comes with a 250 watt motor that rotates the stainless steel at a speed of 3600RPM. However, the energy produce by the motor is not sufficient enough to extract juice efficiently from a wide array of options.
Important to note:
You can still purchase better performing juicer son the market that come with powerful motor for fair prices.
What does the Jack LaLanne juice extractor machine do?
Well, this machine can offer a lot in terms of the king of ingredients it can extract. However, there are certain types of produce it cannot extract. For instance, it cannot extract juice from herbs, wheatgrass or leafy greens. This is because the juicer was not designed to extract such produces. There are very few centrifugal juicers that can actually extract juice from greens and wheatgrass. Such produces need a low-speed auger juice extractors. You can purchase a dedicated wheatgrass juicer or buy a single or twin auger juicer. Many people choose to wrap the leaves including spinach, celery, Swiss chards, Lettuce, beetroots and so much. The leaves are wrapped around an apple piece or celery. However, the results tend to differ.
In actual sense, the Jack LaLanne deluxe juice extractor is good at extracting juice from apples, celery, carrots, beets- usually dry pulp and high juice volume. It can also extract juice from citrus fruits such as oranges and oranges, and also pineapple. However, the volume of the juice extracted is less.
Some of the produces the machine cannot extract juice from include mangoes, kiwis, berries, tomatoes, tiny seeds, soggy pups and the likes. Fruits with seeds clog the filter holes
The pieces from the produce usually escape out of the chute, especially if there is not plunger in it. Most of the time, there are numerous slices that attach themselves on the edge after juicing is complete. This clearly shows the process is not efficient at all.
Removing the parts of the juicer
Once you are done with extracting juice, the best thing to do if you want to clean the juicer is to remove the parts of the unit in a sink. Also, you should have waste bin by your side.
Disassemble the pusher from the chute and lower the locking bar. Lastly, remove the pulp collector and the lid with pulp guard and clean the juicer.
